I have been teacher of Geography for twelve years and a Head of Geography for ten years. I studied Geography at the University of Exeter and received my teaching qualification from St Mary’s University in London.
I teach ages 11- 18 in a leading independent day school for boys and currently teach the AQA specification at GCSE and A Level. I have also tutored students in the Edexcel specification at GCSE. I am an examiner for the AQA Geography GCSE and A Level.
I aim to challenge pupils in a supportive environment that allows them to feel confident to try everything and learn from their mistakes. I use a range of assessment techniques in order to constantly gauge pupils learning and ensure pupils understand how to move forward. I will use a range of revision tasks, alongside exam questions and will focus on pupils understanding of what is expected of them for different style questions. I have taught pupils at a range of ability and know what is needed in order to secure all grades.
