Hey there, I'm Ahona. Currently in my third year at university, delving into the world of biochemistry. I've got a real soft spot for all things science and maths, and I'm eager to spread that enthusiasm to others. I am friendly, full of energy, and never one to rush through things. Being a social butterfly, I thrive on connecting with new faces and engaging in meaningful interactions.

Back when I was tackling my GCSEs and A levels, I had some stellar tutors who made a world of difference for me. Now armed with a bit more knowledge and a heap of experience, I'm stoked to pay that forward. Helping others ace their grades is what I'm all about!

Tutoring Experience

I've been teaching for four years at a tutoring center, covering KS2, KS3, and GCSEs. During Year 13, I also balanced this with my A-levels. This dual experience has given me fresh insights into teaching methods and a solid grasp of GCSE content. In the last academic year, my GCSE class of 2024 consisting of 17 students, achieved an average grade of 6 in maths and sciences. This reflects the emphasis I place on critical thinking. I've learned to adapt my teaching to different learning styles, creating a dynamic learning environment. My goal is to provide every student with quality education and guidance.

It's also immensely helpful if you come prepared, with a clear idea of what you'd like to focus on. If you're unsure about this, no worries—I'll guide you in identifying your strengths and areas that need a bit more attention. Additionally, I believe in occasional mini-tests. These are never sprung on you, so no need to fret. They serve as a tool for both of us to gauge progress. I've also curated a collection of materials that I've found particularly effective for learning and self-assessment, which I'll be happy to share with you.
