Afton

Afton is an experienced tutor with expertise in mathematics and drama, backed by a strong academic background and a passion for helping students succeed. With a Bachelors degree in Acting, as well as an A* grade in A Level Maths and an A in AS Further Maths and a Level 2 qualification in Understanding Autism, Afton has expertise in both the arts and sciences.

Tutoring Experience

Afton has 8 years of tutoring experience and has taught many students at various different levels during that time. They have taught Maths from Year 1 up to A Level, and are particularly experienced with GCSE students, helping a number of them to build their skills enough to pass the foundation paper or boost their grade on the higher paper. They also tutor Drama up to GCSE, and have 4 years experience teaching LAMDA exams in Acting and Devising.

Afton is friendly and patient, and has an excellent track record of helping students achieve, as well as winning over nervous and reserved students. They are encouraging and creative in their approach to teaching, always adapting lessons to the individual student’s learning style and interests. They focus on building confidence as well as developing knowledge and skills.
