I am a fully qualified teacher; I have achieved Qualified Teacher Status and have over ten years of teaching experience in multi-cultural, multi-faith and in inner-London schools. The passion I have for my students led me to specialising on Special Educational Needs for my Master’s Degree in Education. Knowing more about special educational needs, couple with my experience as an Edexcel examiner and deputy curriculum leader for mathematics, I have been able to plan and deliver lessons that meet the needs of my students.
I have over 10 years of teaching experience, teaching in inner London, multi-faith and multi-cultural school and over 10 years of private tutoring. I am also an Edexcel examiner, with over 6 years of marking experience, moderating GCSE Mathematics papers.
As a tutor, I always allow my students to take an active role in their learning, while I still remain in charge. I continually assess their learning by allowing them to participate during the lesson, use of different questioning techniques and the use of both formal and informal forms of assessment. I also understand that every student is different. I am flexible and able to change my teaching approach and style to suites the needs of my students. I cater for different learning styles; visual, audio and kinaesthetic, through differentiation and the use of physical resources to aid understanding.
