I work as a Senior Scientist and I am passionate about Chemistry and Medicine. I understand the constraints placed by class sizes on students at School or in College. I believe that through one-to-one tuition I can provide an opportunity to develop an intuitive understanding of the subject matter rather than rote-learning and this provides a more engaging experience of the subject.

Tutoring Experience

I have taught Chemistry and Biology at GCE Advanced Level, and I also teach Chemistry at first and second-year University levels. I have taught Genetics and Cell Biology at the University level as well. In addition, I have experience in teaching Chemistry for Edexcel, OCR and AQA and Biology for AQA and OCR, and I have also taught Chemistry for IB and Pre-U Cambridge CIE. Most of my previous students have improved their grades significantly through tutoring and many went on to achieve top grades.

Tutoring Approach

My approach is interactive and personalised, particularly focusing on the exam technique to help tutees achieve the highest grades possible. I also encourage my students to develop strong study skills and this often improves their performance in other subjects as well.
