My name is Adam Logan. I am an Edinburgh based pianist and composer who teaches piano, music theory and composition to learners of all ages, from complete beginners to late intermediates. I compose video game and film music and have had several of my compositions feature in independent movies and video games. I am also involved with student orchestras and choirs within Edinburgh where I lend my voice as a baritone.
I have had the pleasure of teaching piano and music theory privately on a weekly basis for the past two and half years to a variety of students from different ages and backgrounds, many sitting their Trinity and ABRSM exams, whilst others their National 5s and Highers, not to mention adult learners and hobbyists.
I recently finished my HND Music in which I achieved an A* in composition and performance. I am currently finishing my BA in Music from Kingston University.
As each student is different, I like to cater to the needs of each on an individual basis and build a lesson plan from there. My lessons are broken down in 45 minute to 1 hour slots and include:
• Music theory (notation, scales, chords, four part harmony, counterpoint etc.)
• Sight reading
• Technical exercises
• Rhythm exercises
• Learning repertoire (classical, pop, jazz, video game music, film music, and whatever the student would desire to learn)
