Hi, my name's Achint, I'm a first year medical student Queen Mary (Bart's). I went to Queen Elizabeth Grammar School and got AAA in Biology, Chemistry and Maths A-levels (and AA for Further Maths and Physics AS-levels) I did both the UCAT and BMAT tests for medicine, the results are 2810 for the UCAT and 9, 7.6 and 3.5A in the BMAT.

Tutoring Experience

I have 2.5 years of experience teaching online - the first year was volunteering with Oaktree Maths Hub before starting to tutor privately. Since most of my students are GCSE and 11+, I have experience with all of the exam boards - however I have taught everything from BMAT preparation to helping students prepare for interviews.

Tutoring Approach

I aim to give students the ability to direct their own learning in preparation for University / A-levels so encourage questions as much as possible and don't usually set homework in stone - instead opting for a more self directed approach of letting students choose their own topics that they struggle with as well as doing past papers in their free time for me to mark.

I teach online over Zoom, using the Specification for reference alongside a virtual whiteboard to make it easier to understand more visual topics and diagrams - some of my students prefer to have recordings of the lessons whereas others just prefer the written notes - so I'm happy to provide both.
