Information About Eimear - Dublin tutor

Personal Description:

Hi there! My name is Eimear and I am a Maths and Irish teacher who is passionate about helping my students be as confident and as comfortable with their subjects at they can be! Through my years of experience teaching students 1-on-1, I have learned that the most important thing is to have a tutor with whom you can openly discuss where you need support. No student of mine should ever be afraid to ask a question or for me to explain something in a different way! I am just returned from working in, and travelling around, Australia for the past year and I am more excited than ever to bring everything I have learned to my classes this year.

Tutoring Experience:

8 year of tutoring experience, both privately and for grinds schools, including Leaving Cert maths and Irish for primary teaching.
1 year of mathematics teaching in a Gaelcholáiste.
3 years of substitute teaching.
2 courses as a teacher in Irish college.

Approach to Grinds:

I believe in student-lead classes, where the student feels comfortable enough to explain where they need more support and what they are already confident in. By following this structure, the student can get the most out of every class with me. Ensuring that we set clear goals at the beginning of the classes helps direct the student's focus, however I understand that goals can change so I make sure to include regular check-ins with our progress during the year also.
